Who Are We?

MAKING JESUS KNOWN IN OSHKOSH, WISCONSIN

History

Bethel Worship Center was established in 2009, following a calling and a deep sense of God's purpose in Oshkosh, where the pastors had been planted since 1987. Before launching BWC, Pastor Joe and Pastor Chaun served at Christian Faith Fellowship Church Oshkosh under the leadership of Pastors Jason and Rhoda Turner for five years, assisting in various capacities. The name "Bethel" was revealed to Pastor Joe as he sought God's direction for the church’s mission. Bethel Worship Center is a place where the love of Jesus is experienced, and His presence is tangible, bringing unity and discipleship to the Oshkosh community.

Vision

Bringing unity to our community with the love of Jesus Christ.

Bethel Worship Center envisions a community united in Christ, where the love of Jesus transforms lives and draws people into deeper discipleship. Our mission is to create a space where God’s presence is tangible, and His people experience authentic connection, spiritual growth, and family restoration. We believe in the power of unity—bringing together individuals from all walks of life to walk as one body, united in purpose and love. Through discipleship, we aim to equip believers to live out their faith boldly, impacting their families, communities, and the world with the transformative power of the Holy Spirit.

Core Values

  • Unity in the Community

The Heart Behind the Vision

Why Is a Spirit-Led Church Important

A Spirit-led church brings transformation to believers, families, and the entire community.

The Spirit Shapes Us into Disciples

A Spirit-led church doesn’t just attend services—it grows, matures, and follows Jesus deeply. The Holy Spirit is our daily Teacher, Convictor, and Comforter, helping us understand the Word and live it out. From guiding us in truth (John 16:13) to producing fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22–23), the Spirit equips every believer for a life of purpose and transformation. Discipleship isn't a program—it’s a Spirit-empowered journey.

Scripture: John 16:13, Galatians 5:22-23, 2 Timothy 3:16-17

The Spirit Brings Healing and Restoration

Families and individuals today face deep wounds—but the Spirit brings wholeness. In a Spirit-led church, restoration isn’t just possible, it’s expected. The same power that raised Jesus from the dead is at work healing relationships, reviving hearts, and restoring generations. Whether it’s emotional healing, reconciliation, or deliverance from generational cycles, the Spirit moves to rebuild what’s been broken and call families into their God-given purpose.

Scripture: Isaiah 61:1-3, Romans 8:11, 2 Corinthians 5:18

The Spirit Unites Us Across All Backgrounds

The Holy Spirit breaks down walls and builds bridges. In a Spirit-led church, people from every background are brought together not just by shared interests—but by the love and presence of God. Unity becomes more than a slogan; it becomes a supernatural reality. Just as in Acts 2, the Spirit draws diverse people into one body, creating a community that reflects heaven—diverse, united, and full of love.

Scripture: Acts 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 12:13
